What is TENS?
iThera uses TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), a non-invasive, drug-free therapy that delivers controlled electrical pulses through the skin to stimulate sensory nerves beneath the electrode pads. These pulses help modulate the transmission of pain signals to the brain while also encouraging the body’s natural release of endorphins, which act as natural pain-relieving chemicals. Together, these mechanisms help ease discomfort and support pain management. iThera can complement physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and everyday pain management.
Two ways to choose a session.
Choose one of six Quick Programs. Or use Smart Therapy: tell the remote where it hurts, how it feels and how long it has lasted. It selects from more than 100 stimulation patterns.
A complement to your routine.
Results and suitability vary. iThera complements care; it does not diagnose the cause of pain. Speak to a healthcare professional if pain persists or you are unsure whether TENS is appropriate.
Know when to pause.
Stop if you feel burning, pain or unusual discomfort. Read the safety guidance and avoid use with implanted electronic devices, during pregnancy or on children.
